My bro in Colorado honoring our boy.💜

Starting a new year feels fresh and hopeful. We are striving to make the best of a tragic situation that could last for as long as we choose to look at it that way. We take every moment we can to remember Alexander and to feel him. We don’t want to be so caught up in life that we forget one of the best lives that inhabited our planet, Alexander. That’s how we view him, as every parent would with their child.

Alexander is Great and will forever be Alexander The Great to us.

We thank all of you for helping us celebrate him and commemorate him. We are touched by the outreach of love, often in shades of purple. Short texts of “Hey, we’re thinking of you…”

💜

Or, “Hey, A is on my bedside.”

Or, “Hey, A, is in my purse.”

Or, “Hey, I heard Three Little Birds, I think it was A.” It was….

Every time we get an email or card notification that someone donated to the Contra Costa Food Bank in Alexander’s name is a gift, and in the process, someone gets dinner that otherwise would not. That warms all of our hearts.

💜

We love the wind chimes to remind us of Alexander with a sweet ring with each gentle breeze.

I’m tastefully bejeweled in Alexander. I have a layering collection of an “A” in gold that partners a purple butterfly to represent endurance, hope and love. To me, a butterfly also represents rebirth. Maybe it’s not how we imagine, but it’s change.  My wrist is full of Alexander, one with a photo embedded inside a purple gem and another with beads to represent every aspect of Alexander in a number of pearls or amethysts with calming power. Wow!!!!

Who knew purple, Alexander’s favorite color could inspire so many?

Many thanks to the mamas visiting Alexander at his resting spot in Lafayette and in SoCal.

💜

We did not want a moment more to pass without letting you know all of your texts, cards, donations, and gifts are reaching us. We feel your love when we need it most.  We re-read to feel the love again. We are ever grateful…and so is Alexander.

May 2024 bring rebirth and most of all love.
